This beginner level workshop will provide an introduction into the world of Indigo dying. Work with a reduced indigo vat, exploring how indigo transforms fabric through oxidation. The use of indigo dying dates back 5000 year a plant that changed the world. The process of dying with the indica plant to produce the rich blue has been developed and masterfully perfected in regions of India, Japan, Africa, and Guatemala.

In this hands-on session, you will:
✨ Learn to prepare a reduced indigo vat
✨ Experiment with various resist-dyeing techniques to create unique patterns
✨ Leave with your own hand-dyed textile pieces

Experience the transformation of indigo, connect with nature, natural fibers and slow process of hand dying. No prior experience is needed, just your curiosity
