The colorful folk art of Mexico is rich in the preservation of history and ancient traditions. Join us for a workshop that explores artisan style of painting calavaras. An art form that puts intention into honoring and welcoming the souls of the dead.

Participants will be given calavaras (skull) , to paint. Hand molded from therm-a-plastic these 3 X 4 maskes are the perfect size to place around the alter. All paints and painting supplies will be provided.

Printed design examples will be handed out to create your individualized painting mask. Feel free to bring any embellishments you would like to add to your mask.

**** Recommended to wear clothing that you don’t mind getting paint on suggestion to bring an apron as there will only be a limited number on site. ****
